How much is the empty Home tax?

In Vancouver the tax is 1% of your annual assessed value.

Am I exempt from paying the empty home tax in BC?

If you  live in or rent out your property for at least 6 months of the year then the empty home tax, does not apply to you.

How often can I enter my tenanted property to inspect it?

A landlord can legally enter the property monthly to check on the condition.  However, there may be circumstances where they enter more than once a month, for example to meet a contractor etc.  In any case, you have to  give proper notice including the date and time they will be entering and the reason for the entry.

How often can the rent be increased?

A landlord may increase the rent once a year – again with correct notice.  Each year the maximum allowable increase rate is posted on the RTB website starting in September for the following year.  For 2020 the maximum allowable increase is 2.6%
